Volunteer

Friends of High School Park is a predominately volunteer non-profit organization, created in 1995. We are in the park on workday weekends annually beginning every March.
Workday Weekends for 2023 are scheduled for the 1st and 3rd Weekend (Saturdays and Sundays), of each month beginning in March, running through November.
Each workday, several tasks can be accomplished with varying levels of experience. There is always lots of weeding to do as well as trail maintenance, plantings, seed gathering and trash pick-up. Throughout the seasons there may also be special projects where specific tasks are required. We can accommodate adults, school students, younger children accompanied by an adult and groups of any size. We supply gloves and a variety of tools but please feel free to bring your own.
Work Days
Workdays are great opportunities to get outside with your neighbors and meet someone new! Great time spent for “community service credits” too!
Join us at the shed beside the meadow a little before 10am on Saturdays and Sundays, weather permitting. We do work in light rain – it is actually the best time to weed!
A strong recommendation is to wear long sleeves, closed shoes, and pants.
